Many people have asked me "Why have you decided to go into teaching?"
It's simple really. Young children dream of growing up to be astronauts or cowboys or even veterinarians. Few actually become any of those things. I am different. Ever since I was about seven years old, I have always dreamed of becoming an educator of children. Why? I want to make a difference. I want to inspire children to create and imagine. I want to reach those children that have been given up on by either teachers or parents or whomever. I want to extract and display the potential in each and every individual child. Every child has the potential to be whomever or whatever they want to be and do whatever they want to do. I value children and most times relate more to children then to some adults. Children see the world in such a different and hopeful way compared to some adults. I genuinely care about all the children I have taught or even just came into contact with. Each one is so unique and has touched my life in one way or another. I hope to touch theirs in some way, shape or form.
